Conflict Competency 101
This introductory workshop looks at the causes of workplace conflict and our responses to it. It examines the impacts of unaddressed problems on the individual, the team and the organization, and provides practical advice on how to prepare for difficult conversations.

De-Escalation Training (UHS513)
This online De-Escalation Training was developed as a collaboration between OCR and University Health and Safety. The course is designed to help you manage tense situations whether you’re working with clients, colleagues, or the public, and help you maintain safety, professionalism, and respect in challenging moments.
College of Continuing & Professional Studies (CCAPS)
CCAPS offers professional development courses and certificates that support career growth through practical, applied learning. Conflict Resolution is one of many courses in our portfolio, equipping professionals with actionable strategies and communication skills to navigate challenging conversations and resolve conflict effectively at work, and can be applied to multiple professional certificates. University staff are eligible for a 50% discount on most CCAPS courses.

This 1-hour webinar provided as part of the Office of Human Resources’ Supervisory Development Program provides practical guidance around:

Addressing Bias in the Search and Selection Processes
Each semester, the Office for Equity & Diversity Education Program offers the course "Addressing Bias in the Search and Selection Process." Registration is free for all UMN faculty and staff via DORS.
